Hey Y'all sorry I havnt been on in a while. But Ive been at the local indoor range. Getting ready for an upcoming competition. Im sure yall know about the Katera. But have you ever seen one with a target scope, 30" Doinker stabilizer and Cartel V bar with side stabilizers? Some would say its like putting a suit on a pig. But hot damn can i give them Winn Winn and other fancy pants shooters a run for their money. First time shooting for points with the new set up. I shot a 251! I was also told I cant wear my lucky David Allan Coe shirt to the competition. DAMNED dress codes!
I can hear it now....Archer Morrissey PLEASE no Tobacco chewing or beer drinking on the firing line!

That has already been done, along with Hawaiian shirts. I was thinking of dressing as Darth Vader. But the mask would obscure my peep.

You should see the look on peoples faces when. I step to the firing line.
How would ya think practicing my turkey call while other archers are on line would go over? Ya know these damned Yankees here in Massachusetts. Are supposed to be liberal and open minded. They dont really like to accept us
Virginia " country folk ".
oooh oooh ooh I know! I can dress in all leather! And wear my MC cut.

So it was back to the range again last night. After warming up, I shot a 268.
That turned a few heads. Everyone asks how long Ive been shooting.
The Sunday before Valentine's day was the first time I shot it.
Thanks guys for the support. Y'all will be right here when I win my first tournament. And harvest my first deer and turkey.

What's the max score for you there? We have 20 targets with a max point per target of 10, 8 and 5. So one round has a max of 200 score and 2 rounds would be 400.

I usually shoot a 190 or so for each round.

Isn't 3D great!

Indoor target is 10 ends at 20 yards max score is 300. we split the game of ten and shoot 5 take a rest. Then shoot another 5.
Im good for shooting 2 hrs straight. Then Im junk afterward.
It gets tiring yanking that 70 pounder back. Even with a cheek in. after two hours of continuous shooting. I am toast! lucky to hit my own target.
But I love it! I just wanna beat this guy Carl. Who thinks he knows all.
Always pushing his advice on folks. I was shooting damn near as good as him. With my 25 year old PSE and Walmart arrows.

onsitewelding, be sure to do some warm up stretches before shooting. I forgot to mention that our targets can be from 20 out to 40 yards, and then also shooting 4 of them from a raised platform. These can be anything from a Rineheart Mosqueto to the standing grizzly bear, what a hoot.

If you ever get a chance to shoot Techno Bowhunter its another real blast to shoot.

Good luck with your match.

You said you wanted to beat the "peacock" strutting around trying to act like he knew everything. Did you beat him with that 280 score?

I smoked him old school style with that score NL. The owner of the range verified the tally.
And it was posted on the board. I'm going to shoot today. And see what Carl says. Its all in good fun though. I said to him a few weeks ago. " Carl, to be Da man, Ive got to beat Da man. And your still DA Man"
It is all fun though, Carl is a good sport. And the both of us are looking forward to the Cancer benefit shoot-a-thon.
