Well I spent the last 10 days in the Hill Country and saw some hens and gobblers. Where were they during the season? I fixed and filled feeders and water tanks and put a bigger platform on my elevated turkey feeder to keep the other critters off. When I wne back to the platform feeder to put the aluminum guard around it there were hens in the feed pen drinking water from the trough. Went back later in the afternoon while walking the dogs and a couple gobblers were on the new platform even though I had not filled the feeder yet. I hope they stick around.

A little post-season teasing by the turkey birds huh? Sounds about like my luck too.
